Carbine Courses

Introduction to Carbine

A 6 hour course designed for individuals with little to no experience with a carbine rifle. This course serves as an ideal entry point into the platform, emphasizing safe handling, fundamentals, and practical use in a structured and supportive training environment.

The primary focus is on building student confidence and comfort through clear instruction and hands on training, allowing participants to develop a solid foundation before progressing to more advanced carbine courses.

Carbine I

A 10 hour course that builds upon the foundation established in the Intro to Carbine course. Designed for responsible individuals of varying experience levels, this course is ideal for new shooters, regular range users, or those looking to reinforce core fundamentals and improve overall performance with a carbine rifle.

Students will develop a deeper understanding of carbine mechanics, safe weapon handling, and the fundamentals of marksmanship. Training is centered on the seven fundamentals of carbine marksmanship and focuses on applying them effectively in both close range and open environments.

The course covers proper carbine weapon holds, safe and efficient deployment of the rifle, and identification and clearing of common carbine malfunctions. Instruction also includes guidance on gear, optics, and accessory selection to help students optimize their setup based on individual goals such as range use, home defense, or practical shooting.

Carbine II

A 10 hour advanced training course designed for students who have established solid proficiency with their carbine rifle and are ready to push their skills further. Building on the foundation developed in Carbine I, this course emphasizes efficiency, movement, and practical application in dynamic environments.

Students will learn and refine the four primary rifle shooting positions, with individualized coaching to improve stability, efficiency, and consistency. Instruction includes shooting on the move, effective use of covered positions, and engaging multiple targets while maintaining control and accuracy.

The course also includes a medical component focused on practical self application of life saving care during training scenarios. Students will learn to manage injuries, maintain situational awareness, and continue problem solving while operating under simulated stress.

Primary to secondary weapon transitions are taught and practiced while moving, reinforcing safe weapon handling and decision making. Stress based training is incorporated throughout the course to build confidence, adaptability, and accountability in realistic conditions.

This is not an introductory course. Students must arrive with a properly zeroed carbine and demonstrate the ability to safely and competently operate their weapon system.

Carbine Lab: Low Light/No Light

This course develops safe, effective, and accountable carbine use in low light and no light environments.

Students learn how to manage reduced visibility, employ weapon-mounted light effectively, and positively identify threats before firing. Instruction focuses on light discipline, movement, use of cover, reloads, malfunctions, and decision making under limited visual information.

Training transitions from dusk into full darkness with live fire, reinforcing accuracy, muzzle discipline, and accountability in conditions where mistakes are amplified.

This course emphasizes threat identification, information control, and defensible decision making in low visibility environments.

This is not an introductory course. Students must arrive with a properly zeroed carbine and demonstrate the ability to safely and competently operate their weapon system.
