15 Jan 5.11 Urban Sniper Drag Bag
You may have seen my review on the Hazard 4 Overwatch Pack, but this pack has a slightly different purpose. This is a great pack/drag bag. If you have some sort of sniper training, you’re probably familiar with how important a drag bags’ durability needs to be. You will not be disappointed here. I also refer to this as a pack because it has easy-to-deploy shoulder straps. If you do not want to carry it like a pack, then there is a carrying handle you can use or even just the loop at the end if you’re on a stalk. The main compartment holds and secures your rifle with very well designed fasteners and a muzzle protector. The other compartment can be used to store your binos, spotting scope, tripod or other range/hunting essentials. It is however a tight fit for most tripods. Once you deploy the pack, the main compartment can be used as a shooting mat and even includes hard points for your bipods. To get more of your torso on the “mat” you can use the included bipod fasteners to still maintain a load bearing on your bipods. The outer portion of the bag has small loops around the edge that you can weave in jute or natural vegetation for concealment. The pack/drag bag comes in multiple sizes and colors, so be sure you measure your rifle before purchasing. Depending on the size chosen a full setup will costs about 175-185 dollars on the 5.11 website. From novice to advance precision rifle shooter this is a great item for bare minimum essentials and rapid deployment, especially in an urban environment.
